Pattern CD
Pattern emits African beats, walls of noise, shimmery guitar, yelps, screams, delectable male-female vocal harmonies, pictures of soap, didgeridoo samples, slipping on ice to break both legs and some other goodies that are bound to perk that droopy head, guaranteed. Pattern reaches into the visceral improvisation of the band's earlier work, while molding a playful pop aesthetic along for the ride.
The album was engineered by Mark Ospovat (Magik Markers, Coco Rosie, Parts and Labor) at Emandee Studios in Brooklyn. Binary Marketing Shows’ recent material has been compared to Animal Collective, Wooden Wand, Grizzly Bear, the Dirty Projectors and other modern avant gardeners. They just recently played a sold out show at Pianos in NYC with Micachu and the Shapes and the Grates.
